Last Sunday we looked at prayer and pondered that a good place to start is not to ask for things but simple to say how much God means to us. We brainstormed some of things, putting them on the post-it notes on a board, and used that as a starting point to pray:
Security
His justice
Creativity (and him giving that to us as a gift)
Faithful
Never changes
Sense of humour
Variety
He is the greatest mathematician
Continual forgiveness
He is an artist
Guides
Constant
Generosity
Persistent
Abounding grace
His kindness
His humour
The freedom to be myself and accept who I am
Unconditional
Creativity
Justice
Always hears us
Patience
Humour
He is good
Jesus came for the sick
Your mercies that are new every morning
Knows exactly what’s going on in our lives
Invites, doesn’t push
That he is angry at injustice
Ever present
Gently nudges
His amazing creativity – penguins!
Merciful and loving beyond reason
Funny
That he is close and near
He/they are in commune, relationship. Father, Son and Holy Spirit
I love the fact that God knows everything
-about me
-about science
-about Libya
-about famine
-about my computer
-about the future
He is beyond human understanding
Bigness
His acceptance of me!
